Description

The Pickford Film Center is a historic, and beloved independent theater in Bellingham, Washington. They asked Moment Films to produce a short promotional video that would illustrate the value the organization provides to the community, and help them meet their fundraising goal to open a new location on Grand street. The concept we landed on was to create a fantastical Bellingham, where films appear on historic buildings leading our protagonist from the original Pickford location, to the new one on Grand. We accomplished this by hauling a massive projector through town and combining practical projections with VFX to create our alternate reality.

My role within this project was to design a theaterfront to be projected on the front of the new to-be location, and to composite interview and movie clips onto buildings so that they mixed seamlessly with the practical footage.
